Severe thunderstorms will continue to rumble across portions of the Plains tonight, bringing threats of damaging winds, large hail, and a few tornadoes.

Across the central and southern Plains, a hot, humid, and unstable air mass is fueling severe thunderstorm development from eastern New Mexico and the Texas Panhandle into Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, and eastern Colorado. A developing bow echo moving across northeastern Oklahoma may generate wind gusts exceeding 75 mph, particularly east of Interstate 35. Storm coverage is expected to remain isolated to widely scattered from western Oklahoma into eastern New Mexico, and from central Nebraska to eastern Colorado. Threats will include damaging wind gusts, large hail, and an isolated tornado.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is posted for parts of Oklahoma. 

The government's Storm Prediction Center has posted an Enhanced Risk, or a 3 out of 5 on the severe weather probability scale, covers parts of central and eastern Oklahoma, while a Slight Risk covers the High Plains from northeast Colorado to central Nebraska, and also from eastern New Mexico through the Texas Panhandle and Oklahoma to southern Kansas, southwest Missouri, and western Arkansas. 

Make sure to know the difference between a watch and a warning should they be issued. A \"watch\" means that conditions are favorable for severe weather to occur, and to be on alert for any rapidly changing conditions. A \"warning\" means that severe weather is imminent, and you should act fast to remain safe.
