Video: Power Lines Spark as Storms Lash Northern Virginia

The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for Arlington, Va., as well as Hyattsville, Maryland, and Washington on May 23, as severe storms lashed the area. According to the Washington Post, the storms knocked out power for more than 84,000 people in Virginia on Thursday. This footage, taken in Arlington, shows overhead power lines sparking.
