Video: Tornado Destroys 12 Homes in Dominican Republic

A tornado swept through Oviedo, which is located in the Dominican Republic's providence of Pedernales on Monday, October 3. Although the tornado destroyed 12 homes and collapsed several radio antennas, it did not cause any fatalities. This occurred as intense Hurricane Matthew churned nearby in the Caribbean Sea. About 500 thousand people in flood-risk areas along the western half of the country were evacuated.
