Video: Tornado Warnings Issued in Alabama as Storm Hits

Tornado warnings were in place in central Alabama on November 29-30 as a line of storms moved across the region.

Video here shows heavy rain pelting Birmingham, Alabama, around midnight.

Winds of up to 60 mph and penny-sized hail were possible in Birmingham on Tuesday night through to Wednesday morning.

Hale County Emergency Management estimated 30 homes damaged in the county, three or four of which were destroyed.

The National Weather Service had confirmed at least one tornado by the early hours.
