For the Freeze Warning for a Hard Freeze, sub-freezing temperatures as low as 23 expected. For the second Cold Weather Advisory, very cold temperatures as low as 23 expected. * WHERE...Central Walton, Holmes, Jackson, North Walton, and Washington Counties. * WHEN...For the first Cold Weather Advisory, from 3 AM to 9 AM CST Thursday. For the Freeze Warning for a Hard Freeze and second Cold Weather Advisory, from 10 PM Thursday to 8 AM CST Friday. * IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.
