A band of light snow will continue to move southward today through the afternoon hours, with total snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches possible for areas along and north of Highway 30. Northwesterly winds, gusting around 25 to 35 mph, will result in blowing snow, with reduced visibilities of a mile. Lower visibilities are possible in open, rural areas. Additionally, pavement temperatures in the teens should allow some partially snow-covered roads with slick spots. If planning to travel this morning through the afternoon hours, be ready for sharply reduced visibilities in blowing snow. Take it slow on the roadways, and allow plenty of following distance between you and the vehicle in front of you.
