Very strong winds could cause extensive tree damage. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Most of the snow will fall Thursday night through Friday morning. The strongest southerly winds will occur Friday afternoon and overnight. There will be gusty winds and the potential for blizzard conditions prior to this which is why the warning begins at 3 AM Thursday morning. With the strongest winds on Friday, temperatures will warm, potentially up to 40 degrees above zero and this could result in any precipitation being rain or freezing rain/drizzle. The confidence in freezing rain/drizzle is low right now, but non-zero. As temperatures warm, the threat of blowing snow diminishes and visibilities are expected to improve.
