About WeatherBug’s Weather Wizard Program

Education and safety have always been on WeatherBug’s radar. Established in 1993, the company has focused efforts in educating communities and making sure its users are safe and ready for severe weather. As a Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador, WeatherBug created the Weather Wizard Program to teach safety awareness and preparation for communities.

The Weather Wizard Program aims to inform children about the dangers and weather hazards in a fun and interactive way. Weather can be dangerous, but we believe that if you Know Before you can be ready for anything.

About NOAA’s Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador™ Initiative

The Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador™ initiative is the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) effort to formally recognize NOAA partners who are improving the nation’s responsiveness, and overall resilience against extreme weather, water, and climate events. As a WRN Ambassador, partners commit to working with NOAA and other Ambassadors to strengthen national resilience against extreme weather. In effect, the WRN Ambassador initiative helps unify the efforts across government, non-profits, academia, and private industry toward making the nation more ready, responsive and resilient against extreme environmental hazards. Weather-Ready Nation (WRN) is an initiative where society’s response should be equal to the risk from all extreme weather, water, and hazards.
