Pollen concentrations for Friday will be on the increase but will still remain in the low range. Since the weather has a major influence on pollen dispersal, this increase is due in part to drier air. The increase of this magnitude could make it more difficult for those with allergies.

Although traditionally a haven for allergy sufferers, the desert may not provide relief for individuals with allergies to airborne molds. A recent study in the Mohave and Colorado deserts found that mold exists in these regions in high enough concentrations to cause an allergic reaction.
