Allergies & Pollen Count for Mount Braddock, Pennsylvania
Discussion
Pollen concentrations for Friday will be falling in the low range. This change results in part from falling temperatures, rising humidity, and expected precipitation in the morning, afternoon and evening which tends to wash pollen out of the air. The lower pollen levels are significant and should help allergy sufferers to cope tomorrow.
Allergy Facts
While forest fires emit vast amounts of smoke and small particulate matter into the air, they do not affect the pollen count in the short term. Analysts viewing air samples to conduct the daily pollen count may see drastic increases in black debris on their microscope slides, but do not typically conduct any "count" of this debris to report to the public. Loss of pollen-producing trees, if great enough, may reduce tree pollen counts in coming seasons.
