Concentration of pollen grains in the air for Thursday will be falling in the moderate range. Since the weather has a major influence on pollen dispersal, this decrease is due in part to falling temperatures, rising humidity and heavy rains in the morning and evening which tend to wash pollen out of the air. That's good news for allergy sufferers.

A recent Swedish study considered how much birch and grass pollen was inside street-level shops, and how well it could be removed through the use of air purifiers. They found that substantial amounts of pollen existed indoors, but that air purification could reduce the pollen exposure by approximately 27%.
