Pollen Forecast for South Fairbanks, Alaska
Discussion
The amount of pollen in the air for Friday will be increasing over today's levels and extend further into the very high range. This increase is due to rising temperatures, strong winds and lower relative humidity. These overall conditions could make it a bit more difficult for those who are allergic to airborne pollens.
Allergy Facts
Corn, a member of the grass family, produces pollen grains which are four times larger than the average grass pollen grains. Because of their size, corn pollen grains are not commonly found in the atmosphere and are not a significant cause of allergies.
