Concentration of pollen grains in the air for Sunday will be rising in the moderate range. This higher level is caused in part by higher temperatures and the lower dewpoint. This heavy increase in pollen concentration could very well cause problems for those who are allergic to airborne pollens.

The grass family is probably the most important plant family in the world. Grasses are used extensively in landscaping urban and suburban areas, are the providers of almost all cereal crops, and are the principal providers of sugar. Domesticated and wild animals graze on grasses. Furthermore, grasses provide building materials in much of the world (thatch, bamboo, etc.), and millions -- probably billions -- of dollars are spent to treat allergies caused by grass pollen.
