UPDATED By WeatherBug Meteorologists

Pockets of storms containing gusty winds and hail will develop ahead of a cold front tonight.
The front will gradually drop southward across the Midwest to Great Lakes through late this evening, where it will run into hot and humid air that will fuel thunderstorm development.
Severe storms will linger from the Midwest to the Great Lakes tonight, from southern Minnesota and northern Iowa across the southern Great Lakes. The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Slight Risk that covers most of these areas. This includes Chicago and Milwaukee.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. Cities include Rockford, Ill.
Damaging wind gusts of 50 to 60 mph will be the main threat with tonight's storms, with some hail also possible. The western edge of the severe thunderstorm risk in the Midwest could also see a couple of tornadoes develop.
There is also a severe weather risk associated with Hurricane Debby, where storms from southeastern Georgia and eastern South Carolina could produce brief wind gusts and several tornadoes through tonight.
Have a severe weather plan in place in case severe weather strikes your area. Remember, "When Thunder Roars, Stay Indoors!"
