Weekend Storm Ramps Up Across Pacific Northwest

Heavy rain and mountain snow blanket Washington, Oregon, and northern California today, with unsettled wintry weather likely lasting through tonight and into Monday.
There has been no letting-up from this stream of early season storms across the Pacific Northwest. Multiple inches of rain and multiple feet of mountain snow are expected this weekend.
The rain will be plentiful across western Washington and western Oregon, where the two-day rainfall totals will likely be between 1 to 3 inches, with some localized rain amounts up to 4 inches possible.
Across the Cascades, 3 to 4 feet of snow can be expected above 5500 feet with 1 to 2 feet below that level. As this system moves inland, the higher elevations of the northern Rockies will see 4 to 12 inches of snow with higher amounts on peaks. As such, Winter Storm Warnings can be found across the Cascades and parts of the northern Rockies.
Additionally, Winter Weather Advisories can be found over the northern Rockies and Utah Panhandle. Valleys will have the chance to see 1 to 3 inches stack up, while up to 6 inches will be possible for higher elevations across northern Idaho and western Montana. In fact, another Winter Storm Warning can be found across northern Idaho where snow totals between one to two feet will be possible for elevations above 4000 feet.
