A powerful nor’easter storm knocked out power for hundreds of thousands in eastern Massachusetts as wind gusts “over hurricane force” pummeled the area on Wednesday, October 27, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.
Video shared by Eric Schilling shows a fallen tree on top of a vehicle parked on a Boston block Wednesday morning.
The NWS reported wind gusts over 80 mph in southeastern Massachusetts. A total of 407,535 customers were without power as of 6:30 am on Wednesday. Travel was not recommended for residents in the affected areas.
