Video: Battling Flood Waters on Cresting Truckee River in Reno, Nev.

The Truckee River near the border of Nevada and California crested to a high of 12.3 feet on Monday following a weekend of heavy rain, according to National Weather Service.

Northern Nevada and California were swamped by torrential rain and flooding over the weekend of Sunday, January 8. At least 413 homes in Nevada’s Washoe County were evacuated, according to the Reno Gazette-Journal.
