Heavy rains brought by a major Bay Area storm on January 7 and 8 caused the Napa River in California’s Napa Valley to flood, submerging nearby roads.
According to a Napa Valley Register report, the flooding led to the first-ever closure of the Napa River bypass. The river was expected to rise past its flood stage and crest at more than 26.7 feet late on January 8, the report said.
