A drone captured aerial footage of the snowy landscape near the Cedar River in eastern Iowa on Monday, January 4.
Christopher Sherman said this drone video shows the snow-covered ground and icy trees by the Cedar River near Mount Vernon, located in Linn County, Iowa.
The National Weather Service said on Monday that rime ice was forming on trees and light snow and sleet were forecast for the region.
