Almost 2,000 fire personnel were continuing the battle against the 25,000-acre Flat Fire burning in Curry County, Oregon on Sunday, July 30, officials said.
This footage shows a large smoke plume rising over the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest.
The fire, which started burning on July 15, was 14 percent contained by Sunday, and unfavorable fire conditions were expected to continue, according to officials.
The fire was expected to bring hazy skies to nearby Oregon towns but air quality would remain moderate to good, the Interagency Wildland Fire Air Quality Response Program said.
