A winter storm engulfed the city of Del Rio, Texas, on Thursday, February 18, with snowfall accumulation reaching a record-breaking 11.2 inches.
This footage, shared by Hector Rivera, shows trees and shrubs coated in white as fresh snow continues to fall.
“This is beautiful,” he says in the video.
The National Weather Service forecasted cold conditions would return on Thursday night with much of the region seeing low temperatures “in the teens to low 20s.”
“This will result in another hard freeze for the entire area along with refreezing of liquid on roads and sidewalks,” they said. “Hazardous travel conditions will likely develop tonight.”
