Snow accumulation through Tuesday
A low pressure system tracking across the Northeast is generating winter scenes for many in northern New England to start the work week.

Moisture coupled with upper-level support are the ingredients to blame for light to moderate snowfall from northeastern New York to Maine. Winter Weather Advisories and Winter Storm Warnings remain in place across northeastern New York just west of Plattsburgh, northern Vermont, most of New Hampshire and almost the entire state of Maine.

So far, around 2 to 6 inches of snow has fallen, including a 9-inch report near Greensboro, Vt. Light to moderate snow will continue today, and likely produce an additional 3 to 7 inches. Some locations could approach 10 inches of total snowfall, especially in northern New Hampshire and western and central Maine. If you have to travel, you’ll want to take it slow on Interstates 89, 91, 93, and 95.

Lingering light snow is likely on Tuesday, but only an additional trace to half inch is expected. Snow should diminish by the afternoon.
