-URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Tallahassee FL 111 PM EST Sun Dec 14 2025 Washington-Jackson-Calhoun- Including the cities of Graceville, Sneads, Simsville, Abe Springs, Durham, Malone, Poplar Head, Browntown, Clarksville, Frink, Crystal Lake, Chipley, Orange Hill, Five Points, Marianna, Richter Crossroads, Chipley Municipal Airport, Blountstown, Marysville, and Scotts Ferry 1211 PM CST Sun Dec 14 2025 ...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 9 AM CST MONDAY... ...FREEZE WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING... * WHAT...For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low as 15 expected. For the Freeze Watch, a hard freeze with sub-freezing temperatures as low as 24 possible. * WHERE...Calhoun, Jackson, and Washington Counties. * WHEN...For the Cold Weather Advisory, from midnight tonight to 9 AM CST Monday. For the Freeze Watch, from late Monday night through Tuesday morning. * IMPACTS...Wind chills this cold could be hazardous for those without access to adequate warmth or protective clothing. Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and unfrozen water. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside. Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-ground pipes to protect them from freezing. &&
