-Coastal Hazard Message National Weather Service Honolulu HI 330 PM HST Thu Dec 4 2025 ...HIGH SURF ADVISORY FOR NORTH AND WEST FACING SHORES OF NIIHAU KAUAI OAHU MOLOKAI AND FOR NORTH FACING SHORES OF MAUI... ...MINOR COASTAL FLOODING DURING HIGH TIDE THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING... .Large surf will continue to spread down the island chain to impact north and west facing shores of Niihau through Molokai and north facing shores of Maui tonight through Friday. A combination of large surf and peak monthly tides that are coming in higher than predicted could lead to flooding along the shoreline and in low-lying coastal areas. Minor coastal flooding will be possible especially at and around the daily peak high tide, which will be during the early morning hours. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Avoid driving through flooded roadways. If you are forced to drive through salt water, be sure to rinse your vehicle with fresh water. Move electronics, vehicles or other valuables to higher ground. Monitor vessels to ensure mooring lines don't get too tight and watch out for overwash around boat ramps.
