-Flood Statement National Weather Service Indianapolis IN 1137 AM EDT Mon Mar 9 2026 ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Indiana... East Fork White River at Shoals. East Fork White River near Bedford. East Fork White River near Rivervale. East Fork White River at Williams. East Fork White River at Seymour. .Minor to moderate flooding continues on the East Fork White after the significant rainfall last week. Additional rainfall of one to two inches Tuesday through Wednesday is likely to bring additional rises on the East Fork at Seymour and lengthen the amount of time downriver points spend in flood. The crest on the East Fork is between Bedford and Williams and is forecast to reach Shoals Tuesday night but take until the weekend to fall back below moderate flood there. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov/ind. State Road 258 had been flooded a few days earlier after river crested at 17.9 feet. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:45 AM EDT Monday the stage was 16.7 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:45 AM EDT Monday was 18.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 12.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood &&
