Low temperatures from the mid teens to near 20F degrees across the entire area. * WHERE...Portions of southeast Arkansas, northeast Louisiana, and central, east central, north central, northeast, northwest, south central, southeast, southwest, and west central Mississippi. * WHEN...Until 9 AM CST this morning. * IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia can occur with prolonged exposure in these dangerous cold wind chills and low temperatures. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. For outdoor pets, make sure there is a warm, dry shelter, food, and unfrozen water. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly.
