-URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service La Crosse WI 449 AM CST Thu Dec 25 2025 ...FREEZING RAIN TO MAKE ROADS SLICK TONIGHT INTO FRIDAY MORNING... .Freezing drizzle overspreads the area this evening, with freezing rain north of Highway 29 bringing upwards of one tenth of an inch of ice. While confidence in travel impacts is highest north of Highway 10 (60-80 percent), the I-94 corridor could still see a period of freezing drizzle before sunrise on Friday that may quickly make for slippery travel. Between warming temperatures and lighter precipitation amounts, confidence in impacts along I-94 is on the lower side (20-40 percent). Temperatures warm after midnight, resulting in the risk for icing ending from southwest to northeast.
