IMPACTS
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At 244 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 0.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This will result in minor flooding.
- SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE
- Southold, Wading River, Mattituck, Sag Harbor, Bridgehampton, Fishers Island, Plum Island, Gardiners Island, Noyack, Shelter Island, Greenport, East Hampton, Peconic, Hither Hills State Park, Springs, North Sea, Cutchogue, Montauk, Aquebogue and Jamesport.
