At 123 PM EST, radar indicated an area of moderate to locally heavy snow along the lakeshore counties from Willoughby to Erie Pennsylvania, moving east at 25 mph. This area of snow will impact motorists traveling on Interstate 90 and Route 20. HAZARDS INCLUDE... Wind gusts to 40 mph... Visibility ranging from 1 mile to occasionally a quarter mile or less... Up to 1 inch of quick snow accumulation... Locations impacted include... Erie, Painesville, Ashtabula, Conneaut, Chardon, Fairport Harbor, Geneva-On-The-Lake, Mentor, Willoughby, Eastlake, Edinboro, Geneva, North East, Madison, Girard, North Kingsville, Perry, Waterford, Albion, and Timberlake. Additional snow accumulations between 3 and 5 inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph along the immediate lakeshore. * WHERE...Northern Erie and Southern Erie Counties. * WHEN...Until 1 AM EST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions with slower travel likely. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening commute.
