Total snow accumulations between 8 and 14 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. For the Winter Storm Watch, heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 4 feet possible. Winds could gust as high as 55 mph. * WHERE...Upper Slopes of the Eastern Washington Cascades Crest. * WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 5 PM PDT Tuesday. For the Winter Storm Watch, from late Tuesday night through Friday morning. * IMPACTS...Significant snowfall with periods of heavy snowfall rates will combine with low visibility to create difficult driving conditions. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Persons should consider delaying all travel. If travel is absolutely necessary, drive with extreme caution. Consider taking a winter storm kit along with you, including such items as tire chains, booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing. Also take water, a first aid kit, and anything else that would help you survive in case you become stranded. Persons should delay all travel if possible. If travel is absolutely necessary, drive with extreme caution and be prepared for sudden changes in visibility. Leave plenty of room between you and the motorist ahead of you, and allow extra time to reach your destination.
