-URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Lincoln IL 239 AM CST Sat Dec 6 2025 Knox-Stark-Peoria-Marshall-Woodford-Fulton-Tazewell-McLean- Schuyler-Mason-Logan-De Witt-Piatt-Champaign-Vermilion-Cass- Menard-Macon-Moultrie-Douglas-Coles-Edgar-Clark- Including the cities of Rushville, Paris, Galesburg, Clinton, Petersburg, Beardstown, Lincoln, Monticello, Pekin, Decatur, Tuscola, Toulon, Canton, Urbana, Bloomington, Champaign, Havana, Peoria, Marshall, Danville, Charleston, Mattoon, Normal, Sullivan, Lacon, and Eureka 239 AM CST Sat Dec 6 2025 ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 AM CST SUNDAY... * WHAT...A light mixture of snow and freezing rain. * WHERE...Along and north of a Rushville...to Decatur...to Mattoon line. * WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to 6 AM CST Sunday. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow accumulations will range from 1 to 2 inches north of the I-74 corridor: however, the primary hazard will be light freezing rain mixing with the snow across much of central Illinois. While ice accumulations will be minimal, a thin glaze of ice could create slippery conditions on untreated surfaces. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Slow down and use caution while traveling.
