...HAZARDOUS WINTER STORM THIS MORNING...
.Areas of heavy snow and widespread strong northwest winds persist hazardous travel conditions this morning. Blizzard conditions due to blowing snow and 40 to 50 mph winds primarily affect open and unsheltered locations of northeast Iowa and southeast Minnesota.
Hourly snowfall rates in excess of 1" per hour continue this morning, eventually exiting by daybreak. Impacts from blowing snow will persist post snowfall accumulations.
Travel will be hazardous to treacherous for many locations and dangerous in others where blowing and drifting is widespread. Be prepared to alter or cancel travel plans.

* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations between 1 and 3 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
* WHERE...Portions of northeast Iowa, southeast Minnesota, and central, north central, southwest, and west central Wisconsin.
* WHEN...Until noon CST today.
* IMPACTS...Plan on hazardous road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
