With temperatures hovering near freezing in some areas this morning, some of the standing water from overnight rainfall may refreeze and result in slippery patches of ice across portions of the southern Adirondacks, the Lake George region, and higher elevations of southern Vermont and northern Berkshire County. Motorists and pedestrians should exercise caution if driving or walking through 9 AM this morning and be prepared for a possible thin layer of ice on roadways, sidewalks, stairs, driveways or any other untreated ground surfaces which may remain icy and slippery.
