At 115 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 9 miles south of Whiting to 6 miles northwest of Plainfield to near New Rome to near Babcock. Movement was southeast at 25 mph.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.
