Weather Alerts For Ortonville, MN
Special Weather Statement
-# HEADLINE -------------------- ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON # SUMMARY -------------------- Dry conditions are expected this afternoon due to minimum afternoon humidity ranging from 25 to 30 percent. An incoming high pressure center will keep northwesterly winds from gusting to more than 10 to 15 miles per hour. Still, dry fuels and low humidity could mean that fires that develop may still spread quickly. The time of the lowest humidity and therefore greatest concern for elevated fire weather conditions is between 2 PM CDT through 7 PM CDT this afternoon. Conditions are expected to improve beyond that time. # DETAILS -------------------- ISSUED AT Friday, April 24, 2026 at 8:53 AM CDT ISSUED BY National Weather Service Aberdeen SD HEADER Special Weather Statement # AREAS AFFECTED -------------------- Big Stone, Traverse Including the cities of Wheaton and Ortonville
Pollen Alert
-Pollen Index: 11 Pollen Level: high Predominant Pollen: Cedar/Juniper, Elm and Alder. The quantity of pollen grains in the air for Saturday will be falling in the moderate range. This lower level is caused by falling temperatures, rising humidity, and expected precipitation in the morning, afternoon and evening which tends to wash pollen out of the air. Relief is in sight.
