The river has crested at both locations and water levels are slowly falling. At Cape Girardeau, the river is forecast to fall below flood stage Tuesday evening. At Thebes, the river is forecast to fall below flood stage Monday morning. For the Mississippi River...including Cape Girardeau, Thebes...Minor flooding is forecast. # DETAILS -------------------- WHAT Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. WHERE Mississippi River at Cape Girardeau. WHEN Until early Wednesday morning. IMPACTS At 36.0 feet, The flood gate on Themis Street closes.
