The pollen levels for Friday will be falling in the moderate range. Since the weather has a major influence on pollen dispersal, this decrease is due in part to falling temperatures, rising humidity, and expected precipitation in the afternoon and evening which tends to wash pollen out of the air.

Giant ragweed requires rich, moist soils for growth and is rarely found in areas where low rainfall is common. Unfortunately, arid regions support different species of ragweed, such as Ambrosia dumosa (bursage), which makes dry regions just as miserable for allergy sufferers as wetter climatic zones.
