This heavy increase in pollen concentration could very well cause problems for those who are allergic to airborne pollens.

A recent Swedish study considered how much birch and grass pollen was inside street-level shops, and how well it could be removed through the use of air purifiers. They found that substantial amounts of pollen existed indoors, but that air purification could reduce the pollen exposure by approximately 27%.
