The amount of pollen in the air for Thursday will be increasing over today's levels and extend further into the very high range. This rise is a result of rising temperatures, strong winds and lower relative humidity. These overall conditions could make it a bit more difficult for those who are allergic to airborne pollens.

Warmer temperatures of the spring may inspire many of us to go on shopping sprees after a dormant winter. However, spring pollen may also find its way into the stores. A recent Swedish study considered how much birch and grass pollen was inside street-level shops, and how well it could be removed through the use of air purifiers. They found that substantial amounts of pollen existed indoors, but that air purification could reduce the pollen exposure by approximately 27%.
