Allergies & Pollen Count for Blackfoot, Idaho
Today's Condition
Discussion
Based on past pollen counts and expected weather conditions, pollen levels for Thursday will be falling in the low range. This relief in pollen levels is caused in part by falling temperatures, rising humidity, and expected precipitation in the evening which tends to wash pollen out of the air.
Allergy Facts
One sometimes finds patches of yellow snow in the forest. These patches are caused when pollen from overhanging trees falls into the snow. Since pollen is a very fine, yellow-colored powder, the snow assumes a yellowish tint.
