Discussion

Pollen concentrations for Monday will be rising in the high range. This rise is a result of drier air. This heavy increase in pollen concentration could very well cause problems for those who are allergic to airborne pollens.

Allergy Facts

A recent study conducted in Switzerland may explain why allergy sufferers fare better in cities located at high altitudes. The amount of pollen found in the air over an eleven-year period was significantly lower in a high-altitude city compared to cities in low-altitude regions. This finding seems to be related to data which demonstrate that allergy sufferers have fewer symptoms in the mountains compared to areas which are lower.
