The quantity of pollen grains in the air for Saturday will be falling and will remain in the extremely low range. Since the weather has a major influence on pollen dispersal, this decrease is due in part to rising humidity, weak winds and expected precipitation in the morning, afternoon and evening which tends to wash pollen out of the air.

Annual plants such as ragweed, sage, nettle, and some grasses, may have even better growth opportunities the year following a major fire if trees have been removed and/or soil has been disturbed. Whereas they may be wiped out for the current pollen season, they may come back in even greater numbers the following seasons. Trees lost during a fire take much longer to recover.
