Discussion

Based on past pollen counts and expected weather conditions, pollen levels for Monday will be falling but will remain in the high range. This change results in part from rising humidity and expected precipitation in the morning, afternoon and evening which tends to wash pollen out of the air. This reduction in pollen levels should be a relief to allergy sufferers.

Allergy Facts

Some Australian researchers recently announced an advance which may help folks plant rye grass which is significantly less allergenic. They essentially turned off the protein in the genes which causes allergy to 90% of those allergic to rye grass. They have yet to determine if the grass holds other characteristics, such as providing feed for animals.
