Allergies & Pollen Count for Harris, Michigan
Discussion
The amount of pollen in the air for Friday will be greater than today's levels in the moderate range. This higher level is caused in part by higher temperatures and the lower dewpoint.
Allergy Facts
While forest fires emit vast amounts of smoke and small particulate matter into the air, they do not affect the pollen count in the short term. Analysts viewing air samples to conduct the daily pollen count may see drastic increases in black debris on their microscope slides, but do not typically conduct any "count" of this debris to report to the public. Loss of pollen-producing trees, if great enough, may reduce tree pollen counts in coming seasons.
