Discussion

The quantity of pollen grains in the air for Thursday will be falling into the extremely low range. Since the weather has a major influence on pollen dispersal, this decrease is due in part to falling temperatures, rising humidity and heavy rains in the morning and evening which tend to wash pollen out of the air.

Allergy Facts

One sometimes finds patches of yellow snow in the forest. These patches are caused when pollen from overhanging trees falls into the snow. Since pollen is a very fine, yellow-colored powder, the snow assumes a yellowish tint.
