Discussion

Concentration of pollen grains in the air for Friday will be rising and extend further into the very high range. Since the weather has a major influence on pollen dispersal, this increase is due in part to higher temperatures and the lower dewpoint. This heavy increase in pollen concentration could very well cause problems for those who are allergic to airborne pollens.

Allergy Facts

A recent Japanese study evaluated the correlation between month of birth and sensitization to aeroallergens. It found that allergy to japanese cedar pollen was significantly more prevalent in the children born between December and January than those born during the rest of the year.
