Discussion

The quantity of pollen grains in the air for Monday will be falling but will remain in the high range. The cause for the falling pollen levels is falling temperatures, higher dew points and lack of strong winds.

Allergy Facts

A recent study conducted in Switzerland may explain why allergy sufferers fare better in cities located at high altitudes. The amount of pollen found in the air over an eleven-year period was significantly lower in a high-altitude city compared to cities in low-altitude regions. This finding seems to be related to data which demonstrate that allergy sufferers have fewer symptoms in the mountains compared to areas which are lower.
