Allergies & Pollen Count for Saint Henry, Ohio
Today's Condition
Discussion
Based on past pollen counts and expected weather conditions, pollen levels for Sunday will be rising and extend further into the very high range. Since the weather has a major influence on pollen dispersal, this increase is due in part to strong winds and decreasing humidity.
Allergy Facts
Certain pollen grains look virtually the same under the microscope, even though they were produced by a variety of plants which are very different in appearance. For instance, pollen from members of the Chenopodiaceae and Amaranthaceae families are so similar that they are listed collectively as "chenopods". Goosefoot, russian thistle, and celosia are just three members of these families that look very different from each other. Pollen from these plants, however, would likely be listed simply as "chenopods."
