Allergies & Pollen Count for Seattle/Boeing Field, Washington
Today's Condition
Discussion
Based on past pollen counts and expected weather conditions, pollen levels for Monday will be rising in the moderate range. This is likely to be caused in part by rising temperatures, strong winds and lower relative humidity. This heavy increase in pollen concentration could very well cause problems for those who are allergic to airborne pollens.
Allergy Facts
The nettle family includes the familiar plants with stinging hairs. Pollen from nettle plants is generally not considered a major cause of hay fever in the United States. However, physicians in Europe report that one species of nettle (Pellitory-of-the-Wall) can cause allergies.
