Discussion

The amount of pollen in the air for Thursday will be falling in the low range. This relief in pollen levels is caused in part by falling temperatures, rising humidity, and heavy rains in the evening which tend to wash pollen out of the air. With this amount of reduction in pollen levels, tomorrow should be better for allergy sufferers.

Allergy Facts

In people with normal immune systems, no reaction occurs when pollen lands on the mucous membrane of the eyes, nose, throat or lungs. But in those people with a malfunctioning immune system, the protein in the pollen sets off an allergic response that causes the symptoms of hayfever.
